Recipes?
Today we are supposed to write about a recipe for a state of being. I don't know how to do that. Different things make emotions, so you can't really have "ingredients". The list would go on forever. So I've decided to not write about that.

Murmuration
Today we watched a video of murmuration. It was kind of amazing. If I were the person taking the video, I would be very scared. I'd be afraid of them hitting me or something. It's crazy how they dance in the sky. It seems like clouds. They move together and then they separate. It's inedible that they know where to go. It's like a huge game of follow the leader. It's cool to watch.

Mirrors...
Mirrors are interesting...personally I do look in mirrors when they are in front of me, but don't think it's vanity. I don't look at them to think "wow, look at that sexy beast right there!" I look to see if there is something wrong with my appearance, like food in my teeth, my hair being messed up, etc. Why go through the day looking stupid? Mirrors are useful, though as a society, I think we could live without them. They are not that necessary. We could easily go through life without them.

Technological advances...
Today we as AFES read an article about technology being turned into clothing...in a way. It was suggesting that we might have cell phone communications through our clothing. How bizarre! I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a conversation with your shirt. People would think you are crazy. It would be pretty cool, I guess, but it would take a ton of getting used to. I can definitely see it in the future. We advance so fast, it's pretty insane.just imagine people walking around talking...at nothing. Wow...I think it would be great for our military, as it is said in the article. Communications would always be kept open. Say you got your arms blown off, how are you going to grab a cell phone or walkie-talkie to call for help? With this new clothing cell phone thing, you could just start talking.

The seven deadly sins...
Today's blog is about the seven deadly sins (gluttony, greed, anger, sloth, vanity, lust, and envy). I don't know which one to write about. Hmm...maybe all of them...or at least as many asi can write about. First is gluttony. It's pretty much loving food. Food is really cool, so don't understand why you wouldn't love it. Eating is definitely very necessary to everyday life. Next is greed. Everyone is a little greedy. Some more than others. Greed is pretty bad. It's so difficult not to think about money before other things. Like when giving gifts, most people are persuaded to buy cheaper gifts. Now is anger. Who hasn't been angry at something? Of course everyone has. It's an emotion. You can't help when you become angry. Some people have a very short temper, and others are pretty good at keeping their cool. I'm probably closer to the keeping cool end of this, but it depends on the day, I guess. Next is sloth, but I think i'mgoing to have to be done blogging soon. So the comments I have on sloth, is that it's pretty easy to be lazy, I know I am...

Pink!
Today is another freestyle blog. I'm going to write about pink, because I am dressed in all pink...well, at least a lot of pink. Tonight's football game is the "pink out" so everyone will be wearing pink. This is to support breast cancer awareness. Pink is an okay color. I don't really like or dislike it. It's just ones of those colors. I don't really pay close attention to it. It's a color that is generally associated with females (that word choice made me sound kind of smart!). I personally think it's going to be pretty cool to see a lot of people in pink.

Euphonium, for the win.
The euphonium is an instrument, that no one seems to have heard of. Unless you are that amazing (or involved in music). It's my instrument. If you are unaware of what a euphonium is, it's kind of a mixture Between a tuba and a trombone (if it's a marching euphonium, it also mixes in a little trumpet). Often times the euphonium is mistaken for a baritone, because there is very little difference between them. A baritone does not have conical tubing, and a euphonium does. Conical tubing is when The tubing from the mouthpiece to the bell, the tubing gradually gets larger. So, in a baritone, the tubing is all the same size until the bell (where it must get larger). Someone with slight musical background might tell you that the difference between a baritone and a euphonium, is the fact that a baritone has three valves compared to a euphonium with four. That is incorrect. Baritones can have four valves, it's just more common for them to have three. I hope you feel more informed as to what a euphonium is. That would be the instrument that play, and it's not very common, which makes it 58times cooler.

Ho ho ho.
Today we are writing about whatever we want. FREESTYLE. So, I'm writing about Santa and Christmas...and holidays. So I'm excited for Christmas just like everyone else is, I guess. I don't know. I'm not one of those people that always asks for one specific thing every year...I just kind of go with the flow. So I just chill, pretty much. Santa is a diffent story, he's a pretty cool guy. Delivering presents all around the world and what not. I think that takes pure skill. Other holidays...thanksgiving. That's also a pretty cool holiday. I like how a ton of commercials talk about turkey. Like food stores like pick n' save or piggly wiggly, or whatever. They all have something about turkey, whether it's a dancing guy in a turkey suit, or one of the boring ones where they just say something about how turkey is on sale. They all have some turkey incorporated into their commercial. So that's pretty cool. Other holidays...hmm...Halloween! It seems as if I'm working backward throughout the year. Halloween is kind of an amazing holiday. Personally my favorite part is carving pumpkins, though I am terrible at it. It's fun to totally attack a pumpkin. Of course candy is always cool...unless you don't trick or treat. Then you just get left over candy from what you handed out. Which is NOT a bad thing. Personally I don't think I have a favorite holiday. I could be strange and say my favorite holiday is labor day....because that's a pretty lame holiday to have as your favorite. But honestly I don't really have a favorite.

Evil
Today we have to blog about evil, I guess. My opinion is that human beings as a whole are not evil, but it is possible for a human to be evil. I don't think we're evil, because everyone is different. People's moral are different and people's ideas of evil is different. To one person evil could be robbing a bank, but to another person it could be eating the last slice of cake. Everyone is different, so to label the whole human race as evil, I think is not correct. Some causes of evil people could be how they are raised when they are younger, if your parents say it's okay to freak out and punch people every time they steal your toy, when you're older that is going to reflect on your actions and your level of evilness. Personally I don't believe I'm evil...but like I said everyone's opinion is different. That's my theory on the whole evil thing, I guess. An example of something evil would be...hmmm...I would say Mosquitos, because evryone dislikes them...but they're reason for being such obnoxious little beasts, is a good one. They suck our blood for food for their children. So I guess the reason you do the things you do, does effect how evil the thing is that you do. I don't really know what else to say...I used the word evil a lot in this blog. I would count, but I kind of don't feel like it...

Scarlet Ibis
My question for this story was to what extent are the aspects symbolic, meta ding for something larger than itself? How do you know this?
An answer that I have is how th story often mentions trees and wood. It's s big part of the setting, I think, because it is mentioned a lot. my theory on what it is symbolic for is that trees give off oxygen and humans need oxygen, just like how Doodle needed the big brother (I don't think it ever mentions his name).
Another answer I have forbid is that they live really close to a sea (or large body of water) and a sea is very necessary for things like food and transportation, just like how the big brother was needed for Doodle. The sea turned against their family by the hurricane that occurs, just like how the big brother turns against Doodle and ends up leaving him in the rain.
The time of year was another thing I noticed summer was DEAD and fall hadn't yet been BORN. These words stood out to me. I think the author was symbolizing how Doodle is born not right and then dies in a weird way.
That's what I got for some answers for this question about the Scarlet Ibis. The setting all in all was a pretty symbolic thing for the story.

Animals
Today in English class we can write about whatever we want..."freestyle". So I decided to write about...animals, I guess. Can you imagine what it would be like to be an animal. Though, it depends on which animal you are.
What if you were a bird. You would pop out of your egg, and get fed from some half digested food...yum...once you're a little older, you would be fo
Rced out of your nest and have to fly away...scary much? Bird nests are in trees, ya know, those really tall things. Baby birds aren't exactly body builders...frail little bodies falling from trees...doesn't the life of a bird sounds exciting? UNLESS you were one of those super cool flightless birds...then everything would be different.
What about a lion? That would be pretty sweet...they are like the kings (or queens) of the jungle, right? You get to be large cats, with few predators. Sounds cool to me...though you would have to catch your own food...and kill it with your teeth...and claws...and then rip it to shreds...hmmm...
I'm pretty satisfied with being a human...

The most pressing issue of being an AFE
So today I'm blogging about the issues facing life of being an AFE (accelerated freshman English...sometimes with an S at the end, standing for scholar). Right now honestly I don't have many issues with life, except time. There is too much to do in such little time. There are too many activities to fit in to 24 hours...especially when some of that time is spent sleeping. Otherwise my life is going pretty smoothly (which I'm happy about). the. Transition from middle school to high school, wasn't a very difficult one, thankfully. I dont really know what else to write about...this would probably be a lot easier if I had more issues with my life...one issue I am having right now is that my ipad clicks and no one else's iPad does...

technology
For today i have to blog on a computer instead of the ipads...so i'm kicking it "old school", i guess. Today in english class we read an article about how technology is kind of taking things over. It was mentioning things along the lines of computers writing things on their own...it's kind of crazy to think about how we are improving our technology everyday. i'm not really sure about how i feel about the whole artificial intelligence thing. it's okay, i guess.

Life of being an ETHS freshman...
Today, I'm going to blog about being an ETHS freshman. So far, it's only my fourth day, and it's pretty okay. I like it a lot more than middle school. Everything is a lot more relaxed. I think I'm done now.

Meta-blogging
So, I have to write a blog about blogging...I'm not sure how I feel about that. I don't know much about blogging so this should be kind of not related to blogging, but oh well. I had resource last hour, and I spent most of the time creating a biology project with M. We're calling the project "golf ball flingin'" it's going to be pretty cool. So I'm meta-blogging right now...like right now. The more I write, the more I meta-blog...just kidding, I honestly don't know...I'm kind of boring, so I never know what to write about. We have 4 more minutes, then we're "calling it a blog" I don't know...okay...

A blog, by me...
So this is a blog, by me. I honestly don't know what to write about...so we'll just see what comes up. Today is my second day of high school, and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's pretty easy to get around the school, I guess. Right now I'm in english class. It's pretty cool. Next we have lunch, and I have no idea what we are having...but that's okay. I like peaches, but only the fresh ones. Canned peaches are really gross. I'm pretty excited to end my day and go home...but I'm pretty sure that I'll end up having homework. Which is not cool. It's almost time to go...so I'm just about done. So...yeah...
